On Monday, the response coordinators of Northern Syria said that 12,317 internally displaced families live in the city of Idlib, Northern Syria. The coordinators called upon humanitarian organizations to provide further services for the families.

An official of the Coordination Response, who introduced himself as Muhammad al-Shami, noted that the families need free daily bread everyday, as well as a food ration for each family per month.

Al-Shami called to provide medical care for elderlies , former prisoners, and people injured due to war. Al-Shami stressed the need to send children to school, put an end to child labor, and provide work opportunities for craftsmen.

In recent months, tens of thousands of internally displaced persons arrived in the Idlib governorate, Northern Syria, following military campaigns by the Syrian government forces. The campaigns resulted in agreements with the Free Syrian Army and Islamist battalions to evacuate their areas.
