The High Negotiation Committee of the Riyadh 2 conference said that there is an international agreement to take down Daraa, Southern Syria, between the Syrian Government forces and the supporting militias.

Nasr al-Harir, the head of the negotiation committee, said in a press conference, “it is shameful to hear that the U.S. stopped supporting the de-escalation agreement in Daraa and ignoring the violations. When discussing the murders in the Security Council meetings, we know that they will only issue “empty statements.”

On June 24, 2018, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) said that the U.S. informed them not to expect the states’ interference to repel the Syrian Government military operation in Daraa.

Al- Hariri added that the FSA abided the agreement decided by the U.S. Russia and Jordan. The Negotiation Committee visited these countries, “the remaining friends of the Syrian people,” and the U.N. security council to help the civilians.

Al-Hariri pointed out that the civilians of Daraa are not receiving the UN humanitarian aid. He appealed to the International Society to help them because it is the U.N. responsibility.

Thousands of families fled from Nawa, on the border with occupied Golan, escaping the Syrian Government and Russian bombing.

Al-Hariri proclaimed supporting the military factions and civil authorities for forming a Crisis Unit to adopt resolutions during war and peace.

A day earlier, civil authorities and tribes in Daraa formed the Crisis Unit team to administer the city during the Syrian Government military campaign in the area.

Eleven days ago, the Syrian Government launched a military campaign in Eastern Daraa and Western al-Sweida. The campaign coincides with intense aerial, artillery and missile attacks. The attacks killed and injured dozens of civilians, including women and children, in addition to destroying 40% of al-Hirak, 60% of the town of Eastern Mliha and displacing tens of thousands of civilians.
