Al-Raqqa - SMART

On Tuesday, the intelligence service forces of the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) arrested a displaced family from Deir al-Zor in the village of Honaydah, 39 kilometers west of al-Raqqa, Northeastern Syria, in al-Raqqa, accusing the family of belonging to the Islamic State.

A local source from the village said that the YPG arrested the family of two women, four young men and a seven-year-old child from the city of Albu Kamal, Eastern Deir al-Zor, after the Kurdish forces stormed the village's al-Inaash school, in which the family resided.

Earlier, local activists from the city of al-Raqqa said that the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested more than 20 women that demanded the SDF to free their detained husbands and sons. The women argued with SDF fighters, who attacked and arrested several of the women.

The SDF continue to arrests young men in the Kurdish Autonomous Administration areas, accusing the men of pledging to ISIS or conscripting them into the ranks of the SDF, while civilians demonstrate to condemn the SDF's behavior.
