Hama - SMART

On Sunday, the first group of forcibly displaced people from Daraa arrived at the Qalat al-Madiq crossing, 45 kilometers northwest of Hama, Central Syria.

A member of the response coordinators in Northern Syria, Mohammed al-Shami, said that the convoy consisted of nine buses carrying 430 people, including patients one of them was paralyzed.

Al-Shami stated that the forcibly displaced people would be transferred to the Saed and Mirenaz camps or according to their desire in the Idlib governorate. He said that they do not know whether there are other groups of the forcibly displaced people will arrive or not.

Several organizations, including the Civil Defense, provided ambulances to transport sick and wounded people. They also offered a mobile clinic, meals and drinking water at the reception and camps.

On Sunday, the convoy left the neighborhoods of Daraa. The convoy included mainly Free Syrian Army  (FSA) fighters with their families, in addition to civilians and activists from cities and towns in east and west of the governorate.
