Idlib - SMART

On Wednesday, the administration at the Bab al-Hawa border crossing with Turkey in Idlib, Northern Syria, set a date to open the crossing for the entry of Syrians from Turkey into Syria during the Eid al-Adha holiday.

The administration said that the crossing will open next on August 6, for those who want to enter Syria without specifying their date of return to Turkey.

The administration added that it will put a link for registration some days before the entry date.

On June 5, the Bab al-Hawa crossing administration announced opening a website to book dates to enter Syria.

Each year, the Turkish government allows a certain number of Syrian refugees to enter Syria during the Eid holiday and allow them to return after the end of the holiday.

The number of Syrian refugees in Turkey has reached more than three million. 270,380 of them live in refugee camps. However, the rest are spread in many Turkish states, according to the Immigration Directorate of the Turkish Interior Ministry.
