Daraa - SMART

On Monday, the Syrian government forces began organizing settlements for the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in the town of Nawa, 25 kilometers northwest of Daraa, Southern Syria.

Special sources told SMART that the Air Intelligence Branch is responsible for the settlement of officers and dissident fighters after  they have provided a full statement of all their work during the Syrian revolution.

The sources stated that the Syrian government restores machine guns, launchers and pistols to the FSA factions, who then sign the settlements. The sources noted that after signing, the fighters go to their houses and wait to be informed by the Syrian government forces to complete the settlement, and that they are not accused of anything before the settlement.

The sources stated that the settlement center is at a rest near the detachment and the military security of the city.

On July 18, 2018, the FSA and Russia reached an agreement in Nawa city. The agreement includes the FSA handing over a part of its heavy weaponry, and keeping the rest to strengthen its frontlines for clashes with the Islamic State. After a period, they sign a settlement for the young people in the city with a full handover of the weapons.
