Homs, SMART

On Sunday, the Syrian government forces confiscated forcibly displaced people’s properties in Northern Homs. The people refused reconciliation with the Syrian government and preferred to evacuate for Northern Syria under an agreement imposed by Russia.

Local sources reported that the Syrian government forces sealed some of the properties with red wax; however, the Syrian government forces expelled residents from their houses and turned the houses into military headquarters. The sources noted that the properties ranged between factories, houses, and farms.

The sources added that the confiscated properties include a facility to produce necessities for heavy vehicles, Maha Ayoub’s house, who is the former manager of the office of the Mothers and People with Special Needs in the city of al-Rastan, Firas Ghali’s house, who is a member of the former High Sharia Court in al-Rastan, and a house for a commander of the al-Ahrar al-Sham Islamist Movements.

In mid May 2018, the Syrian government forces seized the entire Northern Homs and Southern Hama after the last group of forcibly displaced people evacuated for Northern Syria under an agreement that Russia imposed on civil and military groups and residents of the area.
