Syrian government forces’ shelling and ammunition explosion kills children in Hama

On Sunday, a Syrian government forces’ shelling and ammunition explosion killed two children in two villages, west of the Hama governorate, central Syria.

Activists reported that the Syrian government forces stationed in the Jourin base shelled the edges of the village of Jisir Beit al-Ras, killing a 15-year-old child.

The activists added that a 23mm bullet exploded, and killed a child in the village of Bridij, which is controlled by the Syrian government forces, in Hama.

The Syrian government forces stationed in the village of al-Jabin mortared the village of Abu Ru’aida al-Sharqiya northwest of Hama. A similar shelling hit the village of al-Arba'in, north of Hama.  

The Syrian government artillery forces stationed at the al-Masasinah checkpoint shelled the village of Ma’ar Kibbeh, north of Hama. The shelling caused no injures.

The Syrian government forces shelled the city of al-Lataminah, north of Hama, injuring a fighter of the al-Izzah Army of the Free Syrian Army.

In recent months, the Syrian government forces intensified bombing on Northern Hama, killing and injuring civilians as well as displacing families to nearby areas.
