The first group of the displaced residents of the city of al Zabadani in Lebanon returned to their city after an agreement concluded between the Syrian and Lebanese governments. The agreement included returning refugees after they faced arresting campaigns and attacks on their homes in Lebanon.

Pro-Syrian government media channels reported that several committees worked to remove the rubbles from the neighborhoods of al-Muaskar, Jamiat al-Golan, al-Barid, al-Sheikh Jandal, the Grand Mosque, and the al-Ain square in al-Zabadani.

Hassan al-Dalati, the official of the file of refugees wishing to return to al-Zabadani, reported that the number of people who returned to the city reached 150. Al-Dalati added that the refugees returned at their wish. Several of the refugee families returned to their places, and others arrived in their relatives' houses, as their homes were destroyed, according to al-Dalati.

Al-Dalati also said that the returned families passed through the official road of the al-Masna'a area in Lebanon, adding that some of the refugees came from the camps and others form several areas in Lebanon. Al-Dalati mentioned that the second group would return to Syria soon. The refugees returned to Syria at the expense of the Syrian government, according to al-Dalati.

Dozens of Syrian refugees in Lebanon started to return to Syria from the Jdaidet Yabous border crossing. Earlier, about 400 refugees returned to the western al-Qalamun area, while hundreds of others are supposed to return soon. These procedures came after Lebanon announced that the United Nations Refugee Agency allowed the Lebanese government to distribute the refugees into the group, preparing to return them to Syria.
