Idlib, SMART

On Tuesday, Captain Naji al-Mustafa, the spokesperson for the National Liberation Front (NLF) stated that they aspire to work under a unified military establishment with an active leadership in the Aleppo and Idlib governorates, Northern Syria.

Capt Mustafa added that they support the idea of merging the opposition military factions under a unified leadership as such step according to Mustafa contributes to the NLF’s capabilities to repel the Syrian government forces.

Capt Mustafa noted that they did not contact the National Army about a complete integration due to dangerous circumstance occurring in Idlib as the Syrian government threatened to attack the governorate. Mustafa added,”However, the idea of integration is potential shortly.”
