Bab al-Hawa border crossing open electronic registry for Syrians to spend Eid vacation in Syria

On Tuesday, the administration of the al-Bab al-Hawa border crossing with Turkey resumed electronic registry to allow Syrian refugees back in Syria to spend the Eid al-Adha vacation.

The administration said in a statement that they reactivated the electronic registry link for a limited number of Syrians following discussions with the Turkish side of the crossing.

On July 19, 2018. The administration announced that the date for  Syrian refugees to enter Syria would start on August 6, 2018; however, the administration did not set a date for the Syrians to go back to Turkey.

Every year, Turkey allows a specific number of Syrian refugees to go back home country to spend what is known as the Eid Vacation and will enable them to return to Turkey after the period ends.

Turkey hosts 3 million Syrian refugees 270, 000 of them live in camps; however, the rest spread over many Turkish states, according to statistics from Immigration Directorate that belongs to the Turkish Ministry of Interior.
