Rif Dimashq - SMART

Activists report that the Syrian government forces arrest civilians and loot private properties in the Syrian government controlled-Douma in Eastern Ghouta, Rif Dimashq.

The Assad’s Violations in Displacement Areas News Network reported on Telegram that on Monday, the Syrian government forces closed the roads leading to the Taha Mosque neighborhood in central Douma and arrested 10 civilians, including two women.

The network, which monitors the news in the areas where displacement agreements have been signed, added that the Syrian government forces' members looted houses and stores in the same neighborhood.

Internally displaced activists reported that the situation in the displacement areas is bad "on all levels." The Syrian government treats people as foreigners and ignores their needs, in addition to unnecessary security checks, arrests, bullying and looting.

The Syrian government forces have taken 250 men for compulsory conscription, and refused to reconcile with 500 others for the same reason.

In April 2018, the Syrian government forces seized all of Eastern Ghouta, after evacuating the last group of internally displaced persons from Douma.
