Daraa - SMART

Three newly joined members of the Syrian government forces from the governorate of Daraa, Southern Syria, were killed after being transferred to the frontline in Hama, Central Syria.

On Thursday, a local source told SMART that the people of the city of Nawa and the town of Tal Shihab received news of the killing of three newly joined members to the ranks of the Syrian government during clashes between the government forces and the opposition factions in Hama.

The source did not provide further details about the time of the killing or the circumstances during which they were killed.

The source explained that about 30 people from the city of Nawa recently joined the ranks of the so-called Tiger Forces of the Syrian government, which transferred them to Hama to participate in clashes alongside its forces. The source added, "The participants were previously known as loyalists to the regime and committed thefts and other crimes."

The source noted that the Syrian government intelligence asked the leaders of the opposition factions, which belonged to the Free Syrian Army before the recent agreements in Daraa, to provide the names of three fighters to join the ranks of the Syrian government, but the factions refused.

In recent weeks, the Syrian government began the reconciliation process in the cities and towns where the Free Syrian Army and Russia reached cease-fire agreements in Daraa. The agreement included the evacuation of those who refused to reconcile to Northern Syria.
