Al-Raqqa - SMART

On Thursday, the Asayish of the Kurdish Autonomous Administration placed its forces on alert in the city of al-Raqqa, Northeastern Syria, after the publication of slogans in favor of the Syrian government

According to eyewitnesses, unknown persons wrote pro-Syrian government slogans on the walls of the municipal stadium and the Ali ibn Abi Talib school in the al-Badou neighborhood. Some of the slogans included, "al-Nemer forces are coming," "Assad or no one" and "Syrian Arab Army is coming" and others.

The eyewitnesses added that the Asayish worked to remove the writings, amid great alertness and research to find out those who wrote the slogans.

This incident was repeated several times in cities, towns, and villages in the governorate of al-Raqqa, which is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). On May 23, the Kurdish People's Protection Units carried out raids and arrests in the countryside of al-Raqqa, after unknown groups raised the Syrian government flag.
