Al-Quneitra - SMART

The Syrian government forces fought about the al-Rafid hospital, 20 kilometers south of al-Quneitra, Southern Syria, which is the only hospital in the area.

On Thursday, local sources reported that the military security tried to move the hospital after fighting with the Air Force intelligence about which should control it. The residents were looking forward to reopening the hospital, after promises from the health directorate and the Red Crescent, since the closest hospital is in the town of Khan Arnaba, Northern al-Quneitra.

The Syrian government media announced that the government forces found a field hospital including CT scan devices, medication, and developed medical devices.

On July 23, the Syrian government gained control over seven villages in al-Quneitra, including the village of al-Rafid, after the Islamic State (IS) withdrew from it.
