The people of the village of Abu Hardoub, 70 kilometers southeast of Deir Ez-Zor, Northeastern Syria, found five decapitated bodies of unknown persons in a landfill in the area.

Local activists said that on Wednesday, the people found the bodies of five young men in a landfill between the villages of Abu Hardoub and Abu Hamam, adding that the bodies were decapitated. No information regarding the killers was obtained.

Earlier, a landmine left behind by the Islamic State (IS) exploded, killing a young man in the town of Mahkan near the city of al-Mayadin (46 kilometers southeast of Deir Ez-Zor).
