On Tuesday evening, unknown persons kidnapped Judge Mahmoud Nour Hamidi, the coordinator of the Popular Resistance movement in Idlib, Northern Syria.

Activists said that unknown persons stormed the judge's farm in the town of Isqat near the city of Salqin, Idlib, taking him to an unknown destination.

Earlier, Judge Hamidi reported that several dissidents of the Syrian government forces, media officers, and legal figures announced the formation of the Popular Resistance movement in Idlib, which will participate in blocking the Syrian government forces' attempts to advance into the Idlib and Hama governorates.

On Aug. 9, 2018, several figures announced the formation of the Popular Revolutionary Resistance movement during the Revolution Activists in Hama conference, which was held in the town of Has in Idlib.
