On Thursday, a Syrian government forces' rocket and artillery shelling killed a civilian and injured others in different areas of Southern Idlib, Northern Syria.

Activists reported that a Syrian government forces artillery and rocket shelling using rockets filled with cluster bombs killed a civilian and injured others in the town of al-Tuh. The activists noted that the shelling came from the Syrian government forces' nearby outposts, checkpoints, and the perimeter of the adjacent village of Abu Dali in Hama.

The activists added that the Syrian government forces stationed in the village of Umm Rajim shelled the village of al-Buraisa in Southeastern Idlib, injuring two civilians. The activists noted that the civilians needed to be transported to hospitals as there were no ambulances in the perimeter of al-Buraisa.

The Syrian government forces stationed in the village of Sham al-Hawa shelled the towns of al-Khowain and al-Tamani’a without causing injuries.

The shelling comes two days after suspected Russian airstrikes hit the Jisr al-Shughur district, killing 14 civilians and injuring 31 others. The Syrian government forces sent military reinforcements to Idlib and spoke of a Russian-backed expected military operation in the governorate.
