Kurdish People’s Protection Units kill and injure four FSA fighters in Afrin

On Thursday, the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) said that their fighters killed and injured four Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters in a bomb attack in the Afrin area, Northern Aleppo in Northern Syria.

The Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) is a predominantly Kurdish military faction in Syria that controls areas in al-Raqqa, al-Hasakah, and Aleppo. The YPG fights the Islamic State and is supported by the International Coalition.

The YPG added that their fighter ambushed a group of fighters of the al-Shamia Front belonging to the FSA in the village of Dikimdash in the Nahiyat Sharan. The YPG added that their fighters exploded a bomb against a vehicle of the al-Shamia Front fighters, killing two fighters and injuring two others.

On Wednesday, the YPG attacked a headquarters of the Third Legion belonging to National Syrian Army in the village of Qatmeh in the Afrin area.

The YPG carried out several attacks against the National Army and Turkish troops controlling Afrin; however, the National Army refuses to comment on the YPG attacks.
