Hama - SMART

On Sunday, the Free Hama Health Directorate said that the Syrian government forces' destruction of two medical facilities deprived 20,000 civilians in the Hama governorate, Central Syria, from medical services.

The Free Hama Health Directorate added in a statement that the facilities were located underground and the Syrian government forces' warplanes deliberately bombed them during the past three days. The Free Hama Health Directorate added that the bombings caused significant destruction in the facilities.

The Free Hama Health Directorate called upon the United Nations to take responsibility and protect medical staff and institutions against direct bombings, and to stop the Syrian government forces' military campaign in the Hama and Idlib. The Free Hama Health Directorate stressed that they are a humanitarian institution that has no political aims.

On Sunday, suspected Russian airstrikes destroyed the hospital of the town of al-Lataminah, in Northern Hama, Central Syria.

The Syrian government forces and Russia continue to bomb the Hama countryside outside the Syrian government forces' control, killing and injuring civilians and forcing schools to suspend teaching.
