Turkish reinforcements arrive at observation bases in villages of Sheir Maghar and Ashtabraq, Northern Syria

Hama - SMART

On Saturday morning, a Turkish military convoy arrived at the Turkish observation base in the village of Sheir Maghar, northwest of Hama. Some of them stationed there, while the others went to the observation base in the Ashtabraq village.

Activists told SMART that the Turkish convoy consisted of four tanks, four military armored vehicles, three freight cars, and five escort vehicles.

The activists added that the convoy arrived in the village of Sheir Maghar, where two tanks, two armored vehicles and a freight vehicle remained. The rest of the vehicles went to the observation base in Ashtabraq village in the countryside of Jisr al-Shughur, west of Idlib.

On Friday, the Turkish convoy entered the Syrian territory from the village of Kafrlusin, north of Idlib, heading to the observation bases established by Turkey in Northern Hama and Western Idlib.

On Thursday morning, a new Turkish convoy, which included tanks for the first time, entered the Turkish observation base east of the city of Mourek, accompanied by five cars of the National Liberation Front.

Earlier, Turkey established 12 observation bases in the governorates of Aleppo, Idlib, and Hama as part of the implementation of the de-escalation agreed at the Astana 6 talks between its sponsors (Russia, Turkey, and Iran).
