Hama - SMART

On Saturday, a landmine exploded in farmland in Northern Hama, Central Syria, killing a woman and injuring 24 farmers.

Social media pages loyal to the Syrian government said that the landmine exploded in farmland near the Syrian government forces-controlled village of Ma'an, as a group of 65 olive pickers was working, killing a woman and injuring 24 people.

The pages added that the explosion caused minor and major injuries among the workers, who were transported to a medical center in the nearby village of al-Mobtin, while others were transported to National Hospital in the city of Hama.

On Sept. 24, 2018, a landmine explosion killed five Syrian government forces members in the village of Atshan, which is controlled by the Syrian government forces, in Northern Hama.
