On Thursday, a local source reported that the al-Raqqa Civil Council found a mass grave that includes between 250 and 300 bodies of the Syrian government forces, Western al-Raqqa Northeastern Syria.

The source added that the council employees found the mass grave near the bricks factory in Western al-Raqqa. The source added that the mass grave is estimated to include 300 bodies. The source noted that the concerned sides would not remove the bodies until they consider the removal and coordinate with the Syrian government.

The source added that the Syrian government forces members were killed in previous battles with the Islamic State (IS) as they were attempting to gain control over al-Raqqa.

Earlier, the Ayn Issa Municipality found four mass graves of the Syrian government forces and their families, whom the IS killed for years ago near the town of Ayn Issa. The Syrian government removed the bodies in coordination with the municipality administration.
