Al-Hasakah - SMART

On Wednesday, Kurdish parties in the city of al-Qamishli in al-Hasakah, Northeastern Syria, demanded the Syrian government to prevent further Turkish attacks east of the Euphrates.

After a meeting with Kurdish Autonomous Administration leaders, the parties issued a statement demanding the Syrian government to take action against the Turkish Army's violations in Syria and assume its legal responsibilities.

The statement called on the international community to take an action against the Turkish Army's attacks on areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Northern Syria.

In a statement, the SDF said that the Turkish Army attacked its controlled areas in Northern Syria six times since the beginning of the four-nation summit, which included leaders of several countries, in Istanbul.

On Wednesday, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey completed its preparations for a military operation in Eastern Syria. Erdogan pledged to launch an operation similar to the Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch operations in the SDF-controlled areas.
