Deir al-Zor - SMART

Hundreds of forcibly displaced people (FDP) in camps in areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the Deir al-Zor governorate, Eastern Syria, complain about the lack of winter aid and the absence of humanitarian organizations.

FDP living in camps in rural areas in Deir al-Zor said that they live in very difficulty conditions and that the SDF and organizations of the Autonomous Administration neglect them.

A local source reported that the FDP are located on the perimeter of the city of Gharanij and towns of Theiban, al-Shahil, and al-Basira. The source noted that the FDP bought their tents in markets for 8,000 Syrian pounds.

SMART obtained photos of a camp showing the spread of mud due to recent heavy rain in Deir al-Zor.

FDP in camps managed by the SDF in Deir al-Zor complain about the SDF's neglect of the FDP's health and lack of medical care.
