Syrian government forces kill 23 fighters of al-Izzah Army in Northern Hama

On Thursday night and Friday morning, the Syrian government forces killed 23 fighters of the al-Izzah Army and injured others in an attack on their outposts in Northern Hama, Central Syria. The attack violated the Russian - Turkish agreement on the area.

Abdulrazak al-Hussein, the manager of the al-Izzah Army’s media office, reported that the Syrian government forces launched an attack against one of the al-Izzah Army’s outposts near the village of al-Zalaqiyat, Northern Hama, killing and injuring fighters. Al-Hussein noted that the Syrian government forces used snipers and developed night devices in the attack.

Al-Hussein added that the Syrian government forces ambushed other fighters who headed to reinforce the outpost, killing some of them the thing that increased the number of the dead fighters to 23.

Al-Hussein noted that the al-Izzah Army regained control of all the outposts they lost to the Syrian government, killing and injuring Syrian government forces members in the clashes.

On October  21, 2018, the National Liberation Front repelled a Syrian government forces infiltration attempt on the perimeter of the village of Khirbat al-Naqoos, Western Hama.

The Idlib governorate and areas in Northern and Western Hama are included in a ceasefire agreement that Russia and Turkey reached in September 2018. The agreement stated the establishment of a demilitarized zone on the perimeter of Idlib and to stop military operations.
