International Coalition airstrikes kill more than 15 people from one family in Deir al-Zor

On Thursday, an International Coalition airstrikes killed more than  15 people from one family in the town of al-Susah, 112 kilometers southeast of Deir al-Zor, Eastern Syria.

A local source reported that the airstrikes killed 20 members of the Hamid Saleh al-Abdullah’s family, most of them women and children. The source noted that the victims are from the village of al-Baghouz.

The Islamic State (IS) media outlets reported that the airstrikes killed 13 children, four women, and a man.

On Sunday, International Coalition airstrikes killed and injured civilians including women and children in the city of Hajin, Eastern Deir al-Zor. On Monday, similar airstrikes hit IS members’ houses in the town of al-Shu’fa, killing and injuring people.

The International Coalition bombed the area days after the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) resumed military operations against the IS in Eastern Deir al-Zor. The SDF halted military operations against the IS in the Deir al-Zor governorate due to Turkish Army shootings and shelling on SDF-controlled areas east of the Euphrates River.
