National Army postpones security campaign in Jarabulus, Aleppo

On Wednesday, the National Army of the Syrian Interim Government postponed their security campaign in the city of Jarabulus in Aleppo, Northern Syria, to give wanted people time to surrender themselves to the military police.

Major Yousef Hamoud, the National Army spokesperson, stated that the security campaign would start at 10:00 a.m., but they decided to postpone it in order for all the people wanted by the military court to surrender.

Al-Hamoud added that many wanted people surrendered to the military police, and only a handful did not surrender. Al-Mahmoud noted that they will start the security campaign at 2:00 p.m. if the rest of the wanted people do not surrender.

Free Syrian Army (FSA) factions and the military police raised the alert in and around Jarabulus prior to the the National Army security campaign in the area.

On Sunday, the National Army launched a security campaign in the city of Afrin against the al-Sharqiyah Martyrs Faction, killing 16 people and injuring 15 others. The commander of the faction, who is known as Abu Khawla, escaped to Idlib. The families of the faction's fighters evacuated to Jindayris. The National Army emphasized that they will continue their campaign in the areas in Aleppo that they gained during the Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch operations.
