Hama - SMART

On Sunday, the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) targeted the Syrian government forces headquarters in the town of Muhradah, 31 kilometers north of Hama, Central Syria, saying that it was a response to the massacre in the town of Jarjanaz in the governorate of Idlib, Northern Syria.

The HTS said on social media that it targeted the artillery headquarters of the Syrian government forces in Muhradah without mentioning the results achieved.

Syrian government media said that two rockets damaged the thermal power station in Muhradah.

The Syrian government forces use the power station as a military base to shell surrounding areas.

On Saturday, the Syrian government forces shelled the town of Jarjanaz in Idlib, killing and wounding 13 civilians, most of them women and children. The town of Jarjanaz is part of the demilitarization agreement reached by the Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on Monday September 17, 2018.

In the past few days, the Syrian government forces, the HTS and Islamist battalions who rejected the Russian-Turkish agreement have repeatedly bombed the demilitarized zone, wounding and killing civilians.
