On Tuesday, a Syrian government forces rocket shelling hit villages and towns in Southern Idlib, Northern Syria, injuring a child.

Mos'ab al-Qadoor, the manager of the Civil Defense center in the town of al-Tamani'a, said that the Syrian government forces shelling on the village of al-Teh broke a child's left leg and left schrapnel in his neck and mouth. Al-Qadoor noted that the Civil Defense transported the child to the Maarrat al-Nu'man 101 Hospital.

Al-Qadoor reported that the Syrian government forces based in the villages of Ma'an, al- Salomiya, and Abu Omar in the Hama governorate shelled the villages and towns of Jarjanaz, al-Tamani'a, Umm Jalal, Sakik, and al-Khowain in Southern Idlib.

On Saturday night and Sunday morning, a Syrian government forces shelling killed a child and injured her brother in the town of Jarjanaz.

The Syrian government forces have intensified their bombings on Idlib in recent days. Clashes erupted between the Syrian government forces and the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham near the town of Abu al-Duhur, Eastern Idlib. The Guardians of Religion faction targeted Syrian government forces outposts near the Joureen base, Northern Hama.

On September 17, 2018, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin reached an agreement to establish a demilitarized zone in the Idlib governorate, Northern Syria.
