Hama - SMART

On Friday, a Turkish military convoy, including several armored vehicles, arrived at the two Turkish observation bases in the city of Mourek and the village of Sheir Maghar, Northern Hama, Central Syria.

Local activists reported that a Turkish military convoy of 12 soldier carriers and five military vehicles belonging to the National Liberation Front arrived at the two observation bases.

The activists suspected that this convoy is to replace the members at these bases, not to deliver reinforcements. However, they did not monitor that the convoy returned to Turkey again.

Turkish convoys continue to reach the observation bases established in the vicinity of Idlib governorate. These convoys aim to deliver military reinforcements, logistical materials or a replacement of troops.

Last month, Turkey entered a military convoy of artilleries and tanks from the Kafrlusin crossing. Turkey also entered tanks for the first time to the observation base near the city of Mourek in Hama. It also entered trucks loaded with concrete cement walls to the observation bases in Tal al-Iss in Southern Aleppo and Tal al-Touqan in Eastern Idlib.

Earlier, Turkey established 12 observation bases in the governorates of Aleppo, Idlib, and Hama as part of implementing the de-escalation agreed at the Astana 6 talks between its sponsors (Russia, Turkey, and Iran).
