Idlib - SMART

On Friday night, the Syrian government forces shelled the village of al-Tah in Southern Idlib, Northern Syria, injuring five civilians, hours after the conclusion of the Astana meetings on a ceasefire.

The head of the Civil Defense center in Nahiyat al-Tamaniah, Musaab al-Qadour, said that the Syrian government forces stationed at the Abu Dali checkpoints shelled the neighborhoods of al-Tah using surface-to-surface missiles, injuring three women and two men. The wounded were transferred to the hospitals of Idlib.

The Syrian government forces also launched eight surface-to-surface missiles on the town of Jarjanaz, which has been intensively shelled during the last few days.

Hours before, the 11th round of the Syrian talks ended. The talks were held in Astana and sponsored by Russia, Turkey, and Iran, where they discussed the issue of a ceasefire in Syria.

On Thursday, the Syrian government forces shelled Jarjanaz and al-Tah, killing a civilian and injuring four others, during the talks.
