Idlib - SMART

The Syrian government forces shell the vicinity of the al-Musheirfa village in Eastern Idlib, Northern Syria, wounding a Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighter.

On Sunday, local activists told SMART that the FSA fighter was guarding his faction, the Suqor al-Sham Brigade, in the vicinity of the al-Musheirfa village when the Syrian government forces shelled it last night from the Byout al-Set and Sham al-Hawa checkpoints. The local activists noted that the fighter's injuries were minor.

The activists added that the Syrian government forces target the Southern and Eastern Idlib countryside almost daily with artillery shelling and missiles.

Earlier, the Syrian government forces shelled the Idlib governorate and clashed with the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham near the town of Abu al-Duhur in Eastern Idlib. The Guardians of Religion faction targeted positions of the Syrian government forces in the Jorin base in Northern Hama.

On September 17, 2018, the Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan reached demilitarization agreement in the Idlib governorate.
