Idlib - SMART

The Syrian government forces targeted the towns and villages of Southern Idlib, Northern Syria, with more than 50 missiles and artillery shells.

On Tuesday, Mousab al-Qaddour, the Civil Defense manager in the town of al-Tamaniah, told SMART that the Syrian government forces targeted the village of Tahtayah with four highly explosive missiles, the town of al-Tamaniah with more than 20 artillery shells, and the perimeter of the town of al-Hish with five shells. The Syrian government forces also targeted the perimeter of the town of Khan Shaykhun with more than 10 missiles resulting in material damage only, according to al-Qaddour.

Al-Qaddour said that the shelling came from Syrian government forces bases in the town of Souran and the villages of Ma'an, Abu Dali, and Tal Maraq in the Northern Hama countryside.

Abdul Satar al-Hussein, the Civil Defense manager in the town of Talmanas, said that the Syrian government forces based in the village of Abu Dali targeted the town of Jarjanaz and the villages of Dar al-Salam, Fahiyah and al-Tah, causing no casualties.

The Syrian government forces continue to shell towns and villages in Southern Idlib, forcing hundreds of families to flee from their homes, although the area is part of the Turkish-Russian demilitarization agreement.
