Aleppo, Syria. On Jan. 9, 2018, a member of the Civil Defense carries a wounded girl, after suspected Russian warplanes bombed civilians’ homes in the village of Jazraya south of Aleppo, Northern Syria, killing a child and a woman and wounding others. The wounded were transferred to a nearby medical clinic. Activists and civilian bodies have declared towns and villages in Southern Aleppo as a disaster zone due to the military operation launched by Russia and the Syrian government in the region. They also called on the United Nations to take responsibility for what is happening.
