Afrin, Syria. Mar. 4, 2018. A Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighter uses a landmine detector to search for mines after the FSA gained control of the village of Pavillion north of Aleppo, Northern Syria. The engineering brigade of the FSA disarmed more than 120 landmines planted by the Kurdish People's Protection Units before withdrawing from the village. Yesterday, the FSA and Turkish Army attacked and gained control of the village and nearby Mount Pavillion. The advance is a part of the Olive Branch Operation.
