Azaz, Syria, Mar. 12, 2018. Dozens of displaced families from the area of Afrin in Aleppo, Northern Syria, arrive in the neighboring city of Azaz, currently controlled by the Free Syrian Army (FSA). 200 families, mostly Arab and five Kurdish, arrive in the city. Displacement came after Turkish warplanes targeted the al-Ahlam checkpoint of the Kurdish People's Protection Units. This checkpoint was preventing civilians from leaving.
