Idlib, Syria, May 23, 2018. The first permanent vaccine center opens in Jisr al-Shughur, Western Idlib, Northern Syria. The Free Health Directorate of Idlib opened the center in cooperation with the Syrian Vaccine Team and some humanitarian organizations. The center provide vaccines for: poliovirus, poliomyelitis, tuberculosis, hepatitis, tetanus, diphtheria (low fever with sore throat), measles and rubella. The vaccines are available for children aged between one day and five years, and they are provided from the World Health Organization. At the end of February 2017, the Free Health Directorate opened four vaccine centers, two of them are located in Idlib in cooperation with the Syrian Vaccine Team, which tours towns and villages to provide vaccines for children.
