Hama, Syria, June 5, 2018. A detainee walks in the central prison of Hama, which is internally controlled by the detainees about two years ago. The prison suffers from poor humanitarian conditions because the Syrian government doesn't provide services and health care to the jail in Hama, Central Syria.
For several months, the detainees have begun in May 2016 a series of disobedience and protests, during which they gained control of the prison after they detained officers and members of the loyalist forces. They called for the abolition of death sentences issued against some detainees.
