Hama, Syria, June 10, 2018. Russian soldiers buy goods from shops in the al-Assi square in the city of Hama, Central Syria. Civilians reported that seeing Russian soldiers in the city has become normal, and Russian soldiers can be seen regularly shopping in the city. Some of the soldiers come from Chechnya, a predominantly Muslim republic, and can be seen praying in the city's mosques. Witnesses estimate that there are hundreds of Russian soldiers in the Hama train station. The soldiers continue to roam the city without any supervision from the loyalist forces.
