Al-Bab, Syria, June 26, 2018. People of the city of al-Bab, Eastern Aleppo, Northern Syria, demonstrate in solidarity with the governorate of Daraa, which is under intense bombing by Russia and the loyalist forces. The demonstrators raised the flag of the Syrian revolution and banners that read, "No to the crimes of Russia, Iran and al-Assad," "No to targeting children and cities," "Daraa is the shield of the country," "Warplanes of the de-escalation agreement's guarantor is killing Daraa's children." Other banners read, "We say to the factions of Northern Syria, who are praying for Daraa, that our women too are capable of praying" and "A criminal immoral tyrant + internationally prohibited weapons + international immunity = international massacres against innocent people." A week ago, the loyalist forces launched a military operation targeting the Eastern Daraa and Western as-Suwaida countryside with intense aerial, artillery and missile shelling, killing and injuring dozens of civilians, including women and children. The shelling has destroyed 40 per cent of the town of al-Harak and 60 per cent of the village of eastern al-Moleihah, displacing tens of thousands of civilians from their homes.
