Quneitra, Syria, July 9, 2018. Children stand at the barbed bar. Dozens of forcibly displaced people from Daraa, Southern Syria, organize a protest at the UN point near the town of al-Rafid, Quneitra, demanding international protection. Officials from the Daraa Governorate Council, the Free Lawyers Syndicate and the Assistant Minister of Finance in the Interim Syrian Government participated in the protest.
The military operation on Daraa killed dozens of civilians and displaced tens of thousands of others to the border with Jordan and the borderline with the occupied Golan. The operation ended after the Free Syrian Army and Russia had reached an agreement on the Daraa governorate except for the Northwestern Daraa countryside. The agreement includes a ceasefire and the evacuation of those who refuse the deal to Northern Syria.
