Homs, Syria, July 22, 2018. A militia fighter guards a bus as militias loyal to Iran intercept the second convoy of forcibly displaced people from the Quneitra governorate near Homs city, Central Syria. The fighters who intercepted the convoy belonged to the Iraqi Abu al-Fadel al-Abbas sectarian militia, accompanied by Afghani fighters. Russian soldiers rushed to the location to solve the situation. The group of displaced people from Quneitra consisted of 2,500 people in 47 buses and several private vehicles. Several of the displaced people were fighters from the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the Free Syrian Army, in addition to civilians. Earlier, the loyalist forces returned a convoy of forcibly displaced people from the city of Nawa, Daraa, to Homs, after the loyalist forces sent the convoy to the Tartus governorate. The group of displaced people from Nawa consisted of 1,000 people.
