Idlib, Syria, July 27, 2018. The moon can be seen as a lunar eclipse occurs in the city of Binnish, north of Idlib, Northern Syria. The eclipse is the longest total lunar eclipse in the 21st century, and lasted 103 minutes. This lunar eclipse is known as the bloody moon phenomenon, as the moon turned dark red during the eclipse. Lunar eclipses occur when the Moon passes directly behind the Earth and comes into its shadow.
