Idlib, Syria, Nov. 19, 2018. Men and women participate in the first Olive Festival in the city of Idlib, Northern Syria, which the Violet Organization holds to shed light on the importance of the olive tree and give advice on how to protect it. Several civilians, farmers, and local officials attended the festival. The Salvation Government, which operates in Hayat Tahrir al-Sham-controlled areas in Northern Syria, called on Idlib's olive farmers not to harvest their olives until the beginning of November, saying that a later harvest is better for the quality of the olive.
