Al-Qamishli, Syria, Nov. 21, 2018. Dozens of women attend a seminar in the Zana Hall, as the Intellectual Woman League and the Kurdish Autonomous Administration's Women's Committee organize a seminar on violence against women in the city of al-Qamishli in al-Hasakah, Northeastern Syria. The seminar included a film screening, poetry reading, and handcraft and rug exhibition. The SARA organization documented 213 cases of violence against women in 2017 and announced more than four thousand cases of violence against women in the Autonomous Administration-controlled areas in December 2016.
