Idlib, Syria, Dec. 27, 2018. Heavy rainfall causes a river flood near the camps of the Atmah area in Idlib, Northern Syria. The floods blocked the main road to the camps and forced dozens of civilians to gather on one of the river's banks. The rain raised the water level, flooding dozens of tents in several camps. The rainfall also damaged houses, flooded cars, and destroyed parts of the nearby Turkish barrier. Displaced people from several areas in Syria reside in the Atmah camps, as the northern Atmah compound includes 44 camps and the southern compound includes 35 camps. Photo: Miral Khallouf.
