People’s Protection Units kill FSA fighters in Afrin; Hayat Tahrir al-Sham detains doctor in Idlib

On Sunday, the al-Islam Army repelled a People’s Protection Units (YPG) infiltration attempt in the Afrin area, 43 kilometers north of Aleppo, Northern Syria.

The YPG said that their fighters killed three Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters and injured two others in an attack in the Afrin area.

On Saturday, the YPG launched a missile against an FSA vehicle in the Afrin area, killing an FSA fighter and injuring another.

Eighty percent of the residents of the village of al-Tah, 45 kilometers south of Idlib, Northern Syria, evacuated the village due to the Syrian government forces bombings in the area.

A Syrian government forces shelling injured an FSA fighter on the perimeter of the village of al-Musherifa, Eastern Idlib.

On Sunday, the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham detained a doctor near the city of Idlib.

The Syrian government forces and Islamist battalions exchanged shelling in Northern Latakia, Western Syria, and in the adjacent Northwestern Hama countryside.

The Syrian government forces confiscated shops in the city of al-Bukamal in Deir al-Zor, Eastern Syria. The shops belong to a civilian who opposes the Syrian government and was forcibly displaced to Northern Aleppo.

On Sunday, the Initial Response Team of the al-Raqqa Civil Council removed eight bodies from a mass grave in the al-Banorama neighborhood, in southern al-Raqqa, Northeastern Syria.

The Syriac Catholic church and UNICEF organized a literary competition titled “Poems and tales” to revive popular heritage in the city of al-Raqqa.
