HTS finds bodies near its headquarters in Idlib; Syrian government and Israel exchange rocket shelling, Southern Syria

On Sunday, the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) blocked the Idlib-Ariha highway, Northern Syria, after finding unidentified bodies near an HTS headquarter that was bombed on Friday. It is suspected that the HTS executed the people.

The HTS detained three people from the city of Sarmin (8 kilometers east of Idlib) accused of the bombing that hit an HTS headquarter on Friday.

Officers of the Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement of the National Liberation Front held a meeting in the city of Jindayris in Aleppo, Northern Syria, to reconstruct the movement and elect new officers.

The Asayish forces of the Autonomous Administration arrested 11 people on charges of drug dealing in the city of Ayn al-Arab (Kobani) in Aleppo.

A forcibly displaced five-month-old child died from hypothermia in a hospital in the city of al-Bab (38 kilometers east of Aleppo).

The Free Hama Health Directorate said that 200,000 civilians, a third of whom are children, in northern and western Hama, Central Syria, are threatened to be deprived of medical care after organizations and donor countries decided to suspend the support of medical projects in Northern Syria.

Thousands of people participated in two demonstrators organized by the al-Raqqa Civil Council of the Syrian Democratic Council in the cities of al-Tabaqa and al-Raqqa, Northeastern Syria. The demonstrators protested the Turkish threats of launching a military operation against the People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the region.

On Sunday, hundreds of demonstrators protested in the city of Qamishli, 75 kilometers north of al-Hasakah, Northeastern Syria, on the first anniversary of the Turkish Army and FSA’s battle against the YPG in the city of Afrin in Aleppo.

On Saturday night, the Syrian government forces arrested two men in the city of al-Bukamal, 120 kilometers south east of Deir al-Zor, Eastern Syria.

On Sunday, the Syrian government forces and Israeli Army exchanged fire in Southern Syria.

Avichay Adraee, the spokesperson for the Israeli Army, tweeted that the Israeli iron dome system shot down a rocket in the northern part of the occupied Golan Heights.

The Syrian government news agency SANA reported a military source as saying that the Syrian government air defense system repelled an Israeli aerial aggression, preventing Israeli rockets from hitting their targets. The source mentioned no further details.

The Russian news agency Sputnik reported that the Israeli shelling hit outposts in the al-Tolol al-Humur area near the village of Hadar in the al-Quneitra countryside, Southern Syria. The shelling coincided with Israeli warplanes flying over Golan.

The price of meat increased by 25 percent in the city of Daraa and its surrounding villages controlled by the Syrian government.
