Turkey shoots down Syrian government forces helicopter west of Aleppo; Israel targets Syrian government forces and Iranian bases in Damascus

On Friday, the Turkish Army shot down a Syrian government forces helicopter west of the city of Aleppo, Northern Syria. This coincided with an operation by opposition factions and Islamist battalions against the Syrian government forces and their allied militias in the area.
The Turkish Army established a new military post west of Aleppo, Northern Syria.
An eyewitness reported to SMART that the Turkish Army established a new military post on the road between the villages of al-Tawamah and Kafr Karmin, west of Aleppo, after a Turkish military convoy consisting of dozens of military vehicles, including two tanks, Gvozdika artillery guns, and logistic equipment, entered the area.
A Russian aerial bombing, and a Syrian government forces artillery shelling on areas west of Aleppo city killed eight civilians and injured others.
Local sources reported to SMART that five civilians were killed and three others, including two children and a woman, were injured in an aerial and artillery attack by Russia and the Syrian government forces on the village of Maarrat al-Atarib, west of Aleppo. Also, two other civilians were killed in a Syrian government forces artillery shelling that targeted the city of al-Atarib, according to the Civil Defense
On Thursday night, the Syrian government forces gained control of a village and several areas west of Aleppo, Northern Syria, after clashes with opposition factions.
A military source reported to SMART that the Syrian government forces gained control of the village of Urum al-Sugra, the 46th Regiment, the Rif al-Muhandisin area, and al-Sawma’a square, west of Aleppo, after clashes with factions from the National Liberation Front (NLF) of the Turkish-backed National Syrian Army (NSA), and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
On Thursday, a Russian war plane bombing on the city of idlib, Northern Syria injured seven civilians.
Head of media for the Idlib governorate Civil Defense reported to SMART that five children and two displaced women were injured in a Russian War plane attack on a poultry farm in the perimeter of the city of Idlib.
On Friday, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the killing of 63 Syrian government forces members in the governorate of Idlib, Northern Syria.
The Turkish ministry said on Twitter, "according to the latest information received from various sources in Idlib region, 63 Assad regime elements have been neutralized."
Also on Friday, hundreds of civilians demonstrated in the Idlib and Aleppo governorates in Northern Syria, in support of a military operation by the opposition factions and Turkey against Russian and Syrian government forces in the area.
Hundreds demonstrated in the cities of Idlib, al-Dana, Sarmada, Karfr Takharim, and Salqin, raising the Syrian Revolution flag and banners that some of which read, “To the Security Council: Russia is an occupying country,” “Not terrorists, but people that want to live in dignity and be free,” “No reason to displace anywhere, just protect our houses,” “Syrian people in the liberated areas ask the intervention of their Turkish brothers to protect them from the crimes of al-Assad, Russia, and Iran,” and “All together in the battle against the Syrian government forces.”
Also on Friday, the Syrian Response Coordination Teams warned that an advance by the Syrian government forces in the area leading to the Bab al-Hawa crossing between Syria and Turkey, Northern Syria, will deprive three million displaced people of humanitarian aid.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that 124 thousand people were displaced in the last four days, from Feb. 9 - 12, 2020, due to the military operations in Northern Syria.
On Thursday night, Israeli Warplane missiles targeted Syrian government forces and Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia bases in the perimeter of the city of Damascus, Southern Syria.
Local sources and activists said that the Israeli attacks targeted munition and missile warehouses based in the perimeter of the Damascus International Airport, eastern Damascus, and in the 1st Division’s 91st Brigade base in the al-Kiswah area, south of the city.
In the al-Raqqa governorate, Northeastern Syria, a bombing by the Turkish Army and the NSA, which is affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government, on Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) bases near the town of Ayn Issa, 49 kilometersss north of al-Raqqa, injured three SDF members.
Medical sources reported to SMART on Friday that three SDF members who were injured in a bombing by the Turkish Army and the NSA on Thursday night, arrived at the al-Raqqa Military Hospital, one of them in critical condition. The bombing targeted SDF bases near the town of Ayn Issa and the M4 International Highway.
Two other SDF members were killed, and one was injured, in an explosion caused by unknown persons in the city of al-Raqqa.
A medical source from the al-Raqqa Military Hospital reported to SMART that the explosion targeted a car carrying SDF members on a farm road west of the city, killing two of the members and injuring one other that was transported to hospital.
Also in the city of al-Raqqa, the Asayish forces of the Kurdish Autonomous Administration arrested three men accused of belonging to IS on Friday.
A media officer for the Asayish forces reported to SMART that Asayish members stormed the al-Jamili building in the al-Raqqa city center and arrested three men, who were displaced from the Homs governorate, Central Syria, for suspicion of affiliating with IS.
In Eastern Syria, a man was shot and killed on Thursday in the village of al-Roz of the al-Bosayrah area, 33 kilometers east of Deir al-Zor.
local sources reported to SMART that unknown persons on a motorcycle shot Qasim Mohammad al-Hamzah, originally from the village of al-Sabhah, as the latter returned from the city through the Maabar al-Shahil water way, killing him instantly.
